The supported rod design enables you to incorporate more weight into your application by improving rigidity while keeping the typical smooth rod set up arrangement.
Ball slides with SBR Linear Motion are used with SBR Supported Rods. If further supporting brackets are not required, supported smooth rod can be used throughout bigger lengths, allowing longer continuous lengths without a support block getting in the way.
A supported smooth rod ensures the unit's overall performance by providing the shaft with the highest amount of rigidity and stiffness at some point all through the stroke.
Simply swap out the support blocks and smooth rod for a supported smooth rod to go from an ordinary smooth rod to a supported smooth rod. Now, you can use an SBR bearing with as many supported smooth rods linked together as are required for your application. Robotics, instrumentation, measurement equipment, CNC machines, 3D printers, and other machinery have numerous applications.
