Product Description
The MGN15C is a compact, narrow-profile miniature linear guide carriage from the MGN Series, engineered for space-constrained, high-precision automation systems. Manufactured from bearing steel, this block provides inherent corrosion resistance and high structural stability without the need for surface platings.
Gothic-Arch Contact & Low-Inertia Design
The carriage incorporates a two-row recirculating ball system utilizing a 4-point Gothic-arch contact geometry, providing equal load-carrying capacity in radial, reverse-radial, and lateral orientations. With a compact body length of 42.1 mm and a lightweight mass of just 59 g, the MGN15C minimizes moving inertia to support high-acceleration axes while increasing available travel stroke on the rail. The block is fully compatible with standard MGN15 miniature linear rails.


Operating Principles: Miniature Recirculating Ball System
The MGN15C manages operational forces and linear translation through its precision two-row recirculating ball raceways:
- Gothic-Arch 4-Point Contact: Applied loads are transferred through two rows of precision-hardened steel balls that engage the rail raceways at four distinct contact points. This Gothic-arch groove geometry provides balanced stiffness and load-carrying capacity across radial, reverse-radial, and lateral orientations within a miniature footprint.
- Continuous Circulation Circuit: As the carriage travels along the rail, the steel balls roll through the active load-bearing zone before being redirected by impact-resistant synthetic resin end caps into internal return channels, facilitating a continuous, low-friction loop.
- Integrated Ball Retention: When the carriage is removed from the linear rail, built-in wire retainers keep the rolling elements seated in their tracks, preventing ball loss during handling and installation.
