Maximum Backlash Elimination: The use of two ball nuts on the same screw, which are precisely preloaded against each other, is the most common method to completely eliminate backlash (axial play) in the assembly.

High Axial Rigidity: The double-nut assembly significantly increases the contact points between the balls and the raceways, which boosts the axial stiffness (rigidity along the axis of travel). This is crucial for resisting external axial forces and maintaining accuracy under load.
