The DD-Specification Linear Guide Block is a specialized linear motion carriage configured with a dual-barrier sealing architecture for standard profile guide rails. In standard linear guide nomenclature, the "DD" designation identifies a carriage equipped with Double End Seals (two stacked elastomeric wiper seals at each end) combined with continuous Bottom and Inner Seals.

Redundant Particulate Defense

Engineered specifically for operating environments characterized by high concentrations of fine airborne dust, dry powders, and micro-particulates, the DD configuration provides multi-stage sealing protection. The two sequential wiper lips operate in tandem: the primary outer seal scrapes coarse surface particulates, while the secondary inner seal blocks fine contaminants-such as graphite, ceramic dust, MDF flour, and glass powder-from reaching the internal recirculating ball or roller tracks. This redundant sealing also enhances grease retention, mitigating raceway wear and extending operational service intervals under demanding operating conditions.

Sealing Selection Guide: DD vs. ZZ vs. KK Configurations

Choose "DD" for Fine Dust & Fibers:
If you work with wood, MDF, graphite, or plastics, fine particles can sneak past standard single seals. The DD option adds a second end seals to double the barrier, keeping your internal raceways clean and preventing abrasive wear.
 

Choose "ZZ" for Hot Metal Chips & Spatter:
Hot, razor-sharp steel shavings will quickly melt or slice through standard end seal. The ZZ option adds an outer metal scraper that acts as a physical shield, deflecting hot chips before they can reach the end seal.
 

Choose "KK" for Heavy Coolant & Abrasive Slurry:
Need maximum protection for demanding machining? The KK option gives you both: outer metal armor to block flying metal chips and heavy coolant, backed by inner double seals to stop fine grit from entering the bearing tracks.
