HGW25CC Linear Guide
HGW25CC Linear Guide
Product Description
The HGW25CC designation defines its specific structural geometry and mounting versatility:
HG: Heavy-Load, four-row ball-type series.
W: Wide-flange carriage profile.
25: 25mm nominal rail width (designed for HGR25 rails).
CC: Heavy-load capacity featuring bi-directional mounting holes.
The flanged "CC" block is manufactured with threaded mounting holes that also function as through-holes. This provides machine builders with significant installation flexibility: the block can be secured top-down (passing bolts through the carriage plate and threading them directly into the flange) or bottom-up (inserting bolts upward through the flange into a threaded carriage plate). This bi-directional mounting is highly advantageous when spatial constraints limit tool access during final assembly.

Engineer's Selection Note: HGH25CA (Square) vs. HGW25CC (Flanged)
When designing a 25mm axis, engineers typically choose between the narrow HGH25CA (Square) block and the flanged HGW25CC. While both run on the same HGR25 rail, they are optimized for different structural and spatial requirements:
- The HGW25CC (Flanged) Advantage:
The flanged block is wider (70mm vs. 48mm) but offers a lower assembly profile. Its total assembly height is only 36mm, compared to 40mm for the square HGH block. This lower center of gravity, paired with the broader flanged footprint, provides superior stability against rolling moment loads. It is the preferred choice for wide machine tables and configurations requiring bottom-up mounting of the carriage plate.
- The HGH25CA (Square) Advantage:
The square block is the appropriate specification when lateral envelope space is constrained. For applications such as nesting parallel axes closely together inside a machine column, its narrower width (48mm) offers a highly efficient, space-saving solution.
