Ball screw is a precision transmission mechanism, which consists of screw, nut, steel ball, pre-loaded plate, reverser and dust collector. There are many types of ball screws, which can be divided into the following categories according to different standards and requirements:

Cold Rolled Ball Screw
1. Classification by functional characteristics
Self-lubricating ball screw
It has a removable oil removal device, does not require lubrication pipeline system and equipment, and reduces the cost of oil change and waste oil treatment.
Silent ball screw
A ball spacer ring with a special groove is set between the balls, which can suppress the noise generated by the collision between the balls, making the ball screw quieter and smoother when moving.
High-speed ball screw
It has the characteristics of high acceleration, high rigidity, high-speed feed, low vibration and low noise, and is suitable for fast feed of machine tools, high-speed cutting center of molds and high-speed longitudinal load cutting center.
Heavy-duty ball screw
It can withstand large axial loads and is suitable for all-electric design machines, air compressors, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and forging manufacturing equipment.

2. Classification by precision grade
Rolling grade ball screw
The precision is relatively low, suitable for occasions with low precision requirements.
Grinding grade ball screw
The precision is high, suitable for occasions with high precision requirements, such as CNC machine tools, precision instruments, etc.
3. Classification by ball circulation method
External circulation ball screw
The ball sometimes loses contact with the screw during the circulation process, and the circulation is achieved through the design of the spiral groove, plug or end cover on the outer surface of the nut.
Internal circulation ball screw
The ball always keeps in contact with the screw during the circulation process, and the circulation is achieved through the reverser. The internal circulation ball screw has a small size, and the reverser is firmly fixed, rigid and not easy to wear. At the same time, its reverse channel is short, the number of balls is small, the smoothness is good, the friction loss is small, and the transmission efficiency is high. However, compared with the external circulation, its impact resistance is weaker, so large screws and high-load screws mostly use external circulation structures.
