Manufacturing Processes

Manufacturing focuses on extreme precision in both the guiding and driving components, and their alignment:

 

1.Precision Machining: The module body is subjected to extensive CNC machining to ensure the mounting surfaces for the guide rail and the ball screw are perfectly flat and parallel to each other.

2.Guide and Screw Integration: The guide rails are meticulously secured. The ball screw is installed into its preloaded end supports. The key precision check is the parallelism between the guide rail's axis and the ball screw's axis, which must be near-perfect to prevent binding and ensure accuracy.

3.Carriage and Nut Assembly: The carriage is assembled onto the guide blocks, and the ball nut is bolted to the underside of the carriage. This must be done with zero run-out relative to the guides.

4.Calibration: The final stage involves sophisticated laser-based metrology. The stage is calibrated to map and record its absolute positional accuracy, repeatability, and straightness of travel, which may then be used for software-based error compensation.
