Manufacturing Processes and Procedures

1. Core Material Selection & Deep-Hole Precision

We begin with the highest-grade bearing steel, selected for its inherent strength and hardening capability. The initial and most critical stage is Precise Deep-Hole Drilling. This operation uses specialized tooling to create a perfectly straight, central bore that runs the entire length of the shaft, establishing the foundation for the internal utility channel and ensuring the final component remains balanced and true.

2. Induction Hardening & Stress Relief

The shaft is then subjected to High-Frequency Induction Hardening. This process selectively hardens only the outer circumference, creating the exceptionally wear-resistant skin (HRC 58-62) required for bearing contact. Immediately following this, the shaft undergoes a crucial stress-relieving step to stabilize the material, prevent deformation, and maintain its geometric integrity over time.

3. Multi-Pass Precision Grinding

The hardened exterior is transformed through Multi-Pass Precision Grinding. Using advanced CNC grinders, the surface is meticulously ground in successive passes. This meticulous work achieves the final, ultra-precise diameter and the essential mirror-smooth finish, minimizing friction and ensuring optimal, quiet performance for the linear bearings.

4. Internal Bore Finishing

To guarantee functionality of the internal channel, the bore may undergo a final Internal Honing or Polishing process. This step removes any residual material, ensures optimal cleanliness, and achieves a smooth passage surface, essential for reliable routing of internal cables or hoses.

5. Rigorous Quality Control & Inspection

Every shaft is subjected to Rigorous Quality Control. We perform comprehensive checks to verify the concentricity of the internal bore relative to the outer diameter, confirm overall shaft straightness, and validate the surface hardness specification. This inspection ensures the highest standard of geometric and metallurgical accuracy.

 

6. Customization, Protection, & Packaging

The final stage involves performing any necessary Custom End-Machining (e.g., threads, chamfers, keyways) as specified by the customer. Before shipment, the shaft receives a specialized rust-proofing treatment, and is then packaged securely to protect the precision surfaces during transit, ensuring it arrives ready for immediate installation.
