A key engineering feature of high-quality spindle clamps is their symmetrical split-ring geometry.


The Challenge: High-speed spindles, particularly water-cooled units, incorporate relatively thin outer walls to accommodate internal cooling jackets. Tightening a standard set-screw or an unevenly machined bracket against the spindle can easily deflect or dent the outer casing. This risk can restrict internal water channels or pinch the precision bearings inside.


The Solution: The split-ring clamp features a precision-bored inner diameter with a single relief split. When the clamping bolts are tightened, the housing compresses uniformly. This distributes the clamping pressure evenly around the circumference of the spindle barrel, ensuring a secure, slip-resistant grip without distorting the spindle housing or pinching internal bearings.
