What Dimensions Should Be Noted When Drawing Ball Screw Drawings

Nov 23, 2022

The easiest way to do this is to mark the screw diameter, lead, length, thread length, nut outer diameter, nut length, flange diameter, mounting hole location, screw end size, and tolerance range for each part.

    One of the components on the machine is made of slender metal rods. The high-gloss surface above, and some have threads.

    Usually there are threads on the machine tool, called ball screws.

    1. According to the national standard GB/T17587.3-1998 and its application examples, the ball screw (which has basically replaced the trapezoidal screw, commonly known as the screw) is used to convert rotary motion into linear motion; or convert linear motion into rotation The moving actuator has the characteristics of high transmission efficiency and accurate positioning;

    2. When the lead screw is used as the active body, the nut will be converted into linear motion according to the rotation angle of the corresponding specification, and the passive workpiece can be connected with the nut through the nut seat, so as to realize the corresponding linear motion.

    3. Since there is no gap between the busbars of the ball screw, the linear motion accuracy is high, especially when the direction is frequently reversed, no gap compensation is required. The ball screw busbar has low friction and is very easy to rotate.

    4. When connecting the ball screw and the motor, a coupling must be installed in the middle to achieve a flexible connection. The synchronous belt can be directly connected with the motor output shaft through the synchronous pulley.

    5. According to the national standard GB/T17587.3-1998, the ball screw pair is divided into two categories: the positioning ball screw pair (P) and the transmission ball screw pair (T). The accuracy grade is divided into 7 grades, namely grade 1.2.3.4.5.7.10, and grade 1 has the highest accuracy.

    6. The ball screw rotates once, and the nut moves a distance of one pitch. If the screw rotates once a week, the nut moves four (or five) screws into a four-line (or five-line) screw, commonly known as a four-head (or five-head) screw. Generally, a small lead ball screw adopts a single wire, and a medium and large lead adopts two or more wires.
