1. Slider Shape and Size

The most noticeable difference is the design of the slider block:
SBR: Features a quadrilateral, or square-shaped, slider.

TBR: Employs a flange-type slider.This flange is a flat extension that increases the mounting stability and strength.The mounting threaded holes on a TBR slider are also "through" holes, passing completely through the flange.

2. Combined Height and Interchangeability

The overall height of the rail and slider combination differs between the two types:

Different Center Heights: The center height of the SBR rail and slider is different from that of the TBR combination.

Interchangeability: Despite the height difference, the sliders and the guide rails of both systems are generally considered interchangeable.This provides a degree of flexibility in system design and maintenance.

3. Cost

There is a price difference between the two series:

TBR is typically more expensive than SBR.This is often attributed to the more complex design of the flanged slider and potentially higher quality materials.The TBR's solid aluminum base, compared to the SBR's often hollow base, also contributes to the cost.

TBR: The flanged block with through-holes allows for versatile mounting, including from the top-down or from the bottom-up.

SBR: Its quadrilateral design generally restricts installation to top-down mounting only.
