1. The Standard: SCS-UU (Closed Type)
The SCS-UU represents the baseline model, featuring a solid, continuous aluminum housing that encases a standard linear bearing.
Maximum Housing Rigidity: Due to its solid, un-slotted construction, the SCS-UU offers the highest possible structural integrity. It resists deformation under radial loads more effectively than adjustable versions.
Installation Consistency: This is a true "Plug-and-Play" solution. No calibration is required; simply insert the shaft and bolt the block down. This design eliminates variables such as human error, preventing operators from overtightening the bearing and causing binding.
Cost Efficiency: With fewer machining operations (no slit cutting or tapping for adjustment screws), the standard model is the most economical choice for mass-production machinery.

2. The Tunable: SCS-AJ-UU (Adjustable Type)
The SCS-AJ-UU is distinguished by a longitudinal slit cut through the housing and the internal bearing, equipped with a side-mounted adjustment screw.
Preload & Clearance Tuning: By tightening the adjustment screw, the housing diameter is slightly compressed. This allows for the elimination of internal clearance between the balls and the shaft, enabling a "Zero-Play" setup that drastically improves positioning accuracy and vibration resistance.
Wear Compensation: As bearings wear over time, looseness typically occurs. The AJ block allows users to tighten the screw fractionally to compensate for this wear, significantly extending the service life of the unit before replacement is necessary.
Shaft Tolerance Compensation: If a linear shaft is slightly undersized due to manufacturing variances, a standard bearing might feel loose. The adjustable block allows the user to clamp down to match the exact diameter of the shaft, ensuring a precise fit.
