The POSA Series Rod End Bearing, also known as a heim joint, is a high-performance, maintenance-free mechanical articulating joint. It is characterized by its male-threaded shank and a crucial self-lubricating PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) liner, making it ideal for applications where regular maintenance is impractical or undesirable.
Core Design and Function:
The POSA rod end consists of an eye-shaped housing with an integral threaded shank that encloses a spherical plain bearing. The use of a PTFE liner between the spherical ball and the housing allows the bearing to operate smoothly and reliably without any external lubrication.
